In the summer of 2019 I headed out for the motorcycle adventure of a lifetime.
The plan was to set out for 7 weeks, 5 of which were spent riding around Iceland, camping, and taking photos.
In order to get there, I headed from Kraków to Hirtshals (Denmark) where I took a ferry to the Faroe Islands.
3 days later, another ferry took me to the shore of Iceland where my adventure really began.
I was completely alone on this trip.
Over the course of several weeks I have witnessed the beauty and the harshness of this unique volcanic island.
From beautiful days and midnight sun to thick mist, heavy downpours and snowfalls.
I visited most of the popular destinations and several hidden gems in the remote Highlands.
The most challenging part of the adventure was dealing with the harsh weather: very strong gusts of wind, cold and rain.
And the rivers. Especially when crossing them on a heavy, fully loaded motorcycle.
There was one day where I crossed over 25 rivers and got stuck in one of them!
